Content Hub is an area in ContentCal focused purely on content creation and ideation.
Unlike the Calendar, posts can be added to Content Hub without the pressure of choosing a time or date, making it a great space for imaginations to run wild.
What is Content Hub?
Content Hub is your content creation station. Whenever a brainwave strikes, you can head into Content Hub’s Library to begin crafting your content. Once ready, easily add the post from Library to Calendar.
Within Content Hub, you can also view your ‘Previous posts’ so you can quickly re-use any past content.
Why we created Content Hub
An empty Calendar can often be intimidating, so we wanted to create a brand new space that was purely for creation. This removes the pressure of assigning a place in the publishing schedule.

The Pinboard is one of our most popular areas in ContentCal as a space for dropping ideas and future posts. And yet, it wasn’t scalable as an area for content creation en masse.
So you can think of the Content Hub as a bit like the Pinboard, but bigger, and for all posts past, present and future.

How to use Content Hub
- Head to Content Hub tab within your Calendar. Within Content Hub you’ll see three areas; Library, Previous posts, and Discover.
- The Library is where you’ll create and store your content. To add a post to your Library, select the ‘Add content’ button from the top right. To add a post from your Library to the Calendar, select the ‘+ Use content’ button on the post.
- Previous Posts is where you’ll find the content you’ve previously published through ContentCal. Use the ‘+ Re-use post’ button on any of these posts to re-add these to your Calendar.
- Discover will allow you to find new content from RSS feeds, search, and much more…
Note: Adding a post to your Calendar from Content Hub, does not remove the post from Content Hub. It simply creates a copy that is added to your Calendar.
4 ways to use Content Hub
1. Draft your content
Content Hub is the perfect place to begin crafting content without the pressure of finding a place for it in the Calendar. If you’re tired of staring at a blank Calendar waiting for inspiration to strike, try heading into your Content Hub Library and adding ideas there.
2. Create template posts
One of the best parts about Content Hub is the ability to store template posts that can be added to your Calendar time and time again. Selecting the ‘+ Use content’ button on any post in your Library will allow you to create a copy of the post to add to the Calendar. If you’re in the habit of creating fairly similar posts on a regular cycle then creating templates will be a huge time-saver.
3. Form an image library
Got a big campaign coming up? Use Content Hub to store your images. Creating a Category Tag for your campaign, assign this Tag to each of your posts, and then filter the Library to seek out your media.
4. Storing ideas
Got a great idea, but not sure what to do with it? Content Hub allows you to keep the Calendar / Pinboard clear of miscellaneous musings while giving you a space to store your less-than-developed thoughts, ready to return to later.
